Spirited Away Review-

Hayao Miyazaki is a well known japenese filmmaker and is the director for most of Studio Ghibli's films. All of which have memorable characters settings and an absoluetly magnificent visuals, However one film of his not only is original, thought provoking, and just magical as
Spirited Away.

The film has been positively received everywhere and still remains Japan's highest grossing film. It stars Daveigh Chase (Lilo and Stitch, The Ring) as Chihiro, a ten year old girl who is all of a sudden catapulted into a world of sorcery, spirits, and danger. She is forced to work in a bath house so she will not be transformed into an animal. The bath house is for spirits, to rejuvenate them and give them energy, at first she is trying to survive and return home with her parents, but she soon realizes that she has to help others in the bath house as well.

Summary- Spirited Away is nothing short of a masterpiece. Combining beautiful animation, an original story, and likeable characters it creates a world unlike any other. While the message of the story isn't entirely clear it does make you wonder, and THAT is worth considering. I hope for generations to come this film is celebrated and never forgotten.

I know this film is almost ten years old now, and I re-watched it, and also became re-obsessed with it, so I thought I'd use my intellectual abilities to give you my view on Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away. (Just for the record I don't like to use spoilers :P
